Thank you RebeccaSSaurusRexx for the nomination!  I am very honored that you thought of me and nominated me for this award!

So here are the questions that Rebecca had for me:

  1. What is the first doll in your collection?

Mm… good question!  It depends really.  If we’e talking about my doll collection in general, I would have to say that it was a Barbie Reproduction of Enchanted Evening that came out way back in 1995 I believe.  I still have her. :0)  If we’re talking about my BJD collection then it was a ResinSoul Mei in White Skin which I got in 2009.  She is no longer with me having moved on to a new home a few years ago when the aesthetic of my collection changed.

2. Do you have a favorite doll from your collection?

I can’t say that I have an absolute favorite.  I go through spells where it may look like I’m favoriting a specific doll because I may be photographing him/her more than the others or working on projects that may involve them more than the others. :0)

3. How many dolls do you have in your collection?

Barbies: I’m not exactly sure because I only have 6 on display at the moment and the rest are in boxes stored away.

BJD’s: at last count I had 19.

Jun Planning Sasha: 5

Azones: 3

Lalaloopsies: 39

4. What is your favourite part of doll collecting?

The creativity that comes with doll collecting is limitless and that has to be my favorite part of being a doll collector.  Being able to sew for them, make dioramas or roomboxes, photograph them, make various props from food to furniture, customizing the dolls themselves via painting or wigging or even just writing stories for them opens up a world that very few hobbies can boast about.

5. Do you collect anything else?

Props!  I LOVE props!  Props are what helps make dolls come alive in their own little worlds. :0)

6. Do you have any dolly regrets, a doll or other item you wish you hadn’t gotten?

No, not really.  Any dolls or items that didn’t click with me moved on to better homes for them.

7. Would you have a doll themed as your favorite food?

8. Would you have a doll themed as your favorite animal?

Possibly, if I could find a BJD that was a turtle! ;0)

9. How do you feel about zombie dolls?

I’m not really a fan of zombies so I probably won’t have any zombie dolls in my collection.

10. Do you prefer stock or customized dolls?

My last few dolls have been customized because they are characters in the stories that I write, but most of my dolls are stock dolls because when I saw them they were perfect just the way they were. :0)

11. Do you have a grail doll?

Not currently.

I nominate the following bloggers:

Rosie’s BJD Cupboard

Days of Our Little Lives

My LittleFee Adventures

Shannon’s Lil Critters

As the Resin World Turns

Xanadu Dolls

And here are my questions for you:

  1.  How did you get interested in collecting dolls?
  2. What was the first doll you got in your collection?
  3. How many dolls are in your collection?
  4. What other hobbies do you incorporate into your doll collecting hobby?
  5. What is your favorite part of collecting dolls?
  6. Do you make photos stories that include your dolls?
  7. What is your favorite doll company?
  8. Do you have a favorite doll?
  9. How do you display your doll collection?
  10. Do you take your dolls out in public?
  11. Do you have a grail doll?

  1. I always enjoy reading these questionnaires. It is interesting to read what other collectors enjoy about the hobby. (My favorite part of doll collecting is very similar to yours!) I love all the props too! Thanks for the nomination. Unfortunately, I am having some computer issues and I am unable to blog at the moment.

    • You’re very welcome! And thank you for your comment! Whenever you get your computer up and working again, pls be sure to blog- I’m very interested in learning more about the answers to my questions. ;0)
